This Hugo book teaches the value of learning cooperation skils and he does it with charm. I have never been disappointed with a Hugo story. They are also witty and clever. This is a plus to the adult reader, and a joy to hear the "lessons" quoted by children in conversation with each other afterward.
I read TEAMWORK - THE ISLAND OF COOPERATION (HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH - Island Adventures11: Educational Children's Book Collection), in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Suzy Liebermann and Published by Happy Language Kids, LLC.

The book is about Hugo and his friends, who are in the midst of a hurricane. They have to learn to work together to build a shelter on the Island of Cooperation.

The book was a good, quick read. The kids and great niece enjoyed the book. Liebermann has a great style of writing for children. Check out Hugo the Happy Starfish series. The books are available in Kindle.

I love children's books that are educational as well, so needless to say I really like Hugo! It can be difficult teaching young children the important life skills that the Hugo the Happy Starfish books touch upon. Parents will love them for this reason and children will love the bright, colorful characters.

*I received this book free for review purposes. Regardless, my opinions are my own.

Young children are so interested in working independently that often they forget the importance of teamwork and cooperation to help accomplish a goal. Hugo finds himself in a storm one day and needs to build some emergency shelter. He learns through the use of his friends and teamwork, he can accomplish this task. Sometimes working together in a team can bring larger rewards than ever expected when everyone puts their skills and talents together.

This is happy little Hugo the starfish. He’s a cute little illustrated character that helps children learn the different things in life that they need to get through. His stories were created by Suzy Liebermann. She’s a great story writer when it comes lit little Hugo too.

As you can see, little Hugo is in the process of trying to build something. He was almost done when it came crashing down with him. His hut would have to be rebuilt.

Hugo and his friends use teamwork to rebuild the hut due to a hurricane coming. They have to build quickly and each of them pitch in to get it done before the storm of the hurricane hits.

When you use teamwork, everybody wins!

Suzy Liebermann writes stories like these for little Hugo to teach children the main things in life that they need to know. Teamwork comes in many different ways for them to use throughout life.

I’ve always thought these little books with Hugo are absolutely the cutest!

Hugo is one of the most popular books in my house. This one is just as great as the entire collection. Hugo is finding how friends are always there to help him, and in this book he really needed a helping hand. You learn so much and so will your kids from this great book. If your in help and work as a team any thing can be done and that is what you'll learn in this book. Not only do you get a great book but a lesson as well.

Teaching children life skills can be challenging, but in this exciting adventure with Hugo, your kids will come across some of the most important lessons there are to be learned. Like Hugo, their journey to the real world will be full of character lessons along the way.

The Island of Confidence is beautifully illustrated and leads kids on a suspenseful adventure, learning that they are much like everyone else in learning new skills and there's nothing like a little confidence to help then say "Yes, I can!"

I have had the pleasure of reading the Hugo the Happy Starfish series by author Suzy Liebermann to my children. If you are searching for a series that teaches your children life lessons such as the importance of appreciation, patience, tolerance and optimism than look no further than Hugo the Happy Starfish -- Island Adventures.

This latest volume -- Yes, I can (The Island of Confidence) was one that I truly was eager to read. My five year old son has had some serious confidence issues lately. It is more than true that happiness begins with confidence!

My son is a perfectionist and always feels like he has to do everything right the first and only time. This was a great read for him because on the Island of Confidence, Hugo learns that a major part of learning is making mistakes! When Hugo believes in himself, he is able to do HIS best when he loses his fears of trying new things!

Hugo the Starfish takes place in a colorful and magical underwater world, where Hugo visits 14 different items learning life lessons and virtues as he travels. Hugo is a series that is perfect for preschoolers, school-aged children and self-readers.

If your child always felt that they couldn't complete something that everyone else could. Maybe something they wish they could do. However, have always felt scared to try anymore since they didn't do well the first few times. Then I have a great book for you. Yes, I Can! is another wonderful book by Suzy Liebermann. Not only does it show how a friend was there to help cheer Hugo on but it proves that with a little more practice, you can do just about anything.

I know how hard it is sometimes. I've actually never was good in doing a lot of things. I really couldn't do some simple things that many kids could. Instead I'd just wish I could and put it behind me and move on thinking about other things. Unfortunately, after a few years I've decided to put goals in front of myself and accomplish these simple things that everyone else around me can do. Just like Hugo I practiced and finally was able to accomplish these goals with ease.

Unfortunately, its not easy and as you'll notice in this book, Hugo couldn't do it at first either, but with tons of practice he was able to succeed. I actually think everyone can do anything if they had encouragement and practice. So if you think your child may relate with having problems accomplishing certain tasks that seem to be bothersome. Then just get them this book and they will see, there is nothing to big or small that will be hard to accomplish.
