This Hugo book teaches the value of learning cooperation skils and he does it with charm. I have never been disappointed with a Hugo story. They are also witty and clever. This is a plus to the adult reader, and a joy to hear the "lessons" quoted by children in conversation with each other afterward.
I read TEAMWORK - THE ISLAND OF COOPERATION (HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH - Island Adventures11: Educational Children's Book Collection), in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Suzy Liebermann and Published by Happy Language Kids, LLC.

The book is about Hugo and his friends, who are in the midst of a hurricane. They have to learn to work together to build a shelter on the Island of Cooperation.

The book was a good, quick read. The kids and great niece enjoyed the book. Liebermann has a great style of writing for children. Check out Hugo the Happy Starfish series. The books are available in Kindle.

I love children's books that are educational as well, so needless to say I really like Hugo! It can be difficult teaching young children the important life skills that the Hugo the Happy Starfish books touch upon. Parents will love them for this reason and children will love the bright, colorful characters.

*I received this book free for review purposes. Regardless, my opinions are my own.

Young children are so interested in working independently that often they forget the importance of teamwork and cooperation to help accomplish a goal. Hugo finds himself in a storm one day and needs to build some emergency shelter. He learns through the use of his friends and teamwork, he can accomplish this task. Sometimes working together in a team can bring larger rewards than ever expected when everyone puts their skills and talents together.

This is happy little Hugo the starfish. He’s a cute little illustrated character that helps children learn the different things in life that they need to get through. His stories were created by Suzy Liebermann. She’s a great story writer when it comes lit little Hugo too.

As you can see, little Hugo is in the process of trying to build something. He was almost done when it came crashing down with him. His hut would have to be rebuilt.

Hugo and his friends use teamwork to rebuild the hut due to a hurricane coming. They have to build quickly and each of them pitch in to get it done before the storm of the hurricane hits.

When you use teamwork, everybody wins!

Suzy Liebermann writes stories like these for little Hugo to teach children the main things in life that they need to know. Teamwork comes in many different ways for them to use throughout life.

I’ve always thought these little books with Hugo are absolutely the cutest!

Hugo is one of the most popular books in my house. This one is just as great as the entire collection. Hugo is finding how friends are always there to help him, and in this book he really needed a helping hand. You learn so much and so will your kids from this great book. If your in help and work as a team any thing can be done and that is what you'll learn in this book. Not only do you get a great book but a lesson as well.

I read THE MOMENT OF TRUTH - THE ISLAND OF INTEGRITY (HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH - Island Adventures 6: Educational Children's Book Collection), in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was published by Happy Language Kids, LLC.

The book is about Hugo the Happy Starfish, who learns a valuable lesson about honesty and telling the truth. Hugo and his friends have planned a trip, but Hugo messes up along the way by being dishonest. He learns how easy it is to lose more than friendship. He learns about trust, honesty, and integrity.

The book is a quick read. I read the book to my toddler in a few minutes. Liebermann has a knack for writing short stories with a moral/character lesson.

This book was written to teach the children to whom it is written about the consequences of their own behavior in a way that they can understand. They are more likely to be receptive to the ideas presented by the character of the starfish. The story had appeal for the narrative and the colors.

Sometimes owning up to your faults or mistakes can be very challenging for not only children who might be afraid to get into trouble, but for adults as well. Hugo learns that his actions can soon burn his bridges so to speak, and loses friends along his adventures. Children will love learning through Hugo the importance of the truth and integrity. They can learn how to have happy successful relationships and not winding up sad and alone because of negative attitudes and dishonesty. At the end of each of the Hugo the Happy Starfish books, the lessons are clearly spelled out with examples of how we can learn to be a better individual. Children can learn integrity by being trustworthy, not gossiping, being respectful to people and their property, helping others in need, etc.

This is a terrific story. The photos are eye catching and the story shows why being truthful is way more important then telling a lie and ending up losing friends and trust of others. Hugo

learns that that it is better to be honest in the first place and what the consequences can

follow, in the end he is left alone...it leaves room for a great discussion of what needs to be

done to win back his friend. This is a great lesson for all ages!

Another great lesson from Hugo the Happy Starfish. This time about lying! Hugo learns an important lesson about how lying does not achieve anything except make your friends lose their trust in you. This is a great lesson for those of all ages!

You really can learn a great deal with Hugo The Happy Starfish. In this story you'll understand that no one likes a liar or someone who doesn't confess to something that they've done. Many people think that its ok to take something that doesn't belong to them or to make up stories about someone else. However, that just makes that individual a rude and mean person. No one would want to be a friend with that type of person. Unfortunately, Hugo finds out that if he was honest in the beginning and told the truth, he would of never lost a friends trust.

This is a terrific story and worth every cent to get. Your children will learn and understand why being truthfull is way more important then telling a lie and ending up losing friends and trust by others.
